Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Day and Night Shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a combined Labor and Delivery and Postpartum unit, following AWHONN staffing guidelines across L&D, triage, and postpartum beds
- Circulate for cesarean section procedures in one of two dedicated c-section suites, including recovery support
- Monitor fetal well-being using FetalLink fetal monitoring system integrated with Cerner EMR
- Float between Labor and Delivery and Postpartum units as needed; L&D nurses must hold Postpartum experience and may also float to the NICU to care for grower/feeder patients
- Care for a high-risk patient population including any gestational age, patients without prenatal care, substance abuse and withdrawal cases, and a high volume of Spanish-speaking patients
- Collaborate with OB technicians, charge nurses, resource nurses, and on-call OB/Neonatology staff to deliver safe, coordinated care
Required Qualifications- Active RN licensure valid in California
- Minimum 2–3 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
- AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
- Postpartum experience required for all L&D applicants
- Ability to circulate for c-sections (scrubbing experience not required)
Preferred Experience / Skills- At least one prior travel nursing contract
- S.T.A.B.L.E. certification
- Experience with Cerner EMR and FetalLink fetal monitoring systems
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
