Contract | Night Shift | 7p Start Time | Every Other Weekend Required (Fri/Sat and Sat/Sun nights) | Rotating Holidays
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in an LDRP setting for patients 32 weeks gestation and above, following ACOG and California staffing ratios (1:3 or 1:4 couplets)
Utilize Cerner PowerChart Maternity and Cerner Fetal Links for fetal heart monitoring (FHM) documentation
Perform charge nurse duties including triage of patients as assigned
Float to postpartum unit on a rotating basis with permanent staff
Collaborate with OB techs, lactation nurses, anesthesia, and on-site Stanford NICU nurses at each delivery
Assist with triage and NST monitoring as part of the unit team
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
Proficiency or ability to learn Cerner PowerChart Maternity and Cerner Fetal Links
Ability to work night shifts with rotating weekend and holiday requirements
Ability to be within 20 minutes of the facility if placed on low-census call during a shift
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience working in an LDRP environment with Level 2 NICU support on site
Familiarity with high epidural-rate patient populations (approximately 90% epidural election)
Experience utilizing translation services or working with multilingual patient populations
Comfort with infant security systems and protocols
