Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care throughout labor, delivery, and recovery on a dedicated Labor & Delivery unit
- Perform triage assessments and antepartum monitoring for obstetric patients
- Circulate for cesarean section procedures in the OR
- Deliver first-hour newborn care (excluding admission assessment and eyes and thighs)
- Provide breastfeeding assistance and patient education to postpartum patients
- Utilize electronic monitoring equipment and EMR systems to document and manage patient care
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Current Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certification (within the previous 2 years)
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Current BLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working at high-volume facilities with more than 3,000 births per year
- Strong patient-centered care approach with an emphasis on individual patient preferences
- Comfort working within a culturally diverse patient and team environment
