Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Rapid Response)
Location
Riverside, CA
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | 6-Week Rapid Response Assignment with potential 6-week extension
Key Responsibilities
- Manage active labor patients and titrate medications as ordered within a busy Labor & Delivery unit
- Perform and interpret fetal monitoring in accordance with AWHONN standards
- Conduct cervical exams, non-stress tests (NSTs), and assist with procedures such as McRoberts maneuver
- Provide care in Labor & Delivery, OB Evaluation, OB PACU, and OR settings as needed
- Float to Postpartum/Couplet Care as required, providing couplet care for mother and newborn
- Collaborate with charge nurses, OB technicians, and interdisciplinary team members in a high-volume environment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification
- Demonstrated proficiency in AWHONN fetal monitoring and couplet care
Preferred Experience / Skills
- More than 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Experience as a Transition Nurse / Baby Catching
- Familiarity with GE fetal monitoring equipment and EMR systems (CPN, Meditech)
