Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Rapid Response)

Contract | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite | 6-Week Assignment with Potential Extension
Key Responsibilities
- Manage active labor patients and titrate medications as appropriate
- Perform cervical exams, non-stress tests (NST), and assist with McRoberts maneuver
- Monitor fetal well-being using GE fetal monitoring equipment and document in EMR (CPN/Meditech)
- Operate within a 1:1 or 1:2 RN-to-patient ratio depending on acuity
- Float to Postpartum/Couplet Care as needed, providing couplet care for mother and newborn
- Work collaboratively with charge nurses, OB techs, and interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery unit
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification
- All required certifications must be included at time of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
- More than 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Experience as a Transition Nurse / Baby Catching
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with organized, dynamic patient flow
