Contract | Night Shift | 12-hour shifts beginning at 6:45 AM/PM | Every other weekend required | Holiday rotation with staff

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care across all aspects of an LDRP unit, including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum — must be willing and able to manage patients from start to finish
• Circulate C-sections — all RNs on this unit are required to circulate cesarean sections
• Titrate drips including Pitocin; manage high-acuity patients presenting with preterm labor, bleeding, inductions, hypertension, and cesarean sections
• Read and interpret EKG strips for mothers in the PACU setting; utilize GE Corometric monitors and Fetalink surveillance system
• Float to Mother-Baby unit as needed; occasional mid-shift float to other area facilities may occur
• May be assigned the Baby Catcher / NRP role for an entire shift, depending on staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Ability to circulate C-sections and float to Mother-Baby; comfort working in all areas of an LDRP unit is essential

Preferred Experience / Skills

• STABLE certification preferred
• Experience in a high-volume, high-risk OB setting with exposure to preterm labor, antepartum monitoring, and cesarean section circulation
• Familiarity with AWHONN staffing ratio guidelines and EFM surveillance systems
• Experience titrating obstetric drips such as Pitocin
