Labor and Delivery / Postpartum Registered Nurse

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | Every Other Weekend | 36 or 48 hours per week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a combined Labor & Delivery and Postpartum unit encompassing L&D, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, ORs, Recovery Rooms, and Antepartum/Observation rooms
- Manage active labor patients with a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, including patients on Magnesium drips or epidurals
- Monitor and care for laboring and evaluation patients at a 1:2–3 ratio and postpartum patients at a 1:3–4 ratio
- Perform circulating duties in the OR as needed within the unit
- Provide newborn care and support within the unit setting
- Document all patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic medical records system
Required Qualifications- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Active BLS certification
- Active NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Active EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification — renewal required every 2 years
- Demonstrated proficiency in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, OR circulating, and newborn care
Preferred Experience / Skills- AHA ACLS certification
- Prior experience with EPIC EMR
