Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Labor & Delivery unit with a 1:1–2 patient ratio across a 17-bed inpatient unit with 2 triage bays
• Perform IV insertion, lab draws, blood administration, and nitrous administration; conduct vaginal exams and set up delivery tables for vaginal deliveries
• Interpret fetal monitor strips, administer common OB medications, and manage antepartum triage
• Serve as circulator in cesarean sections and provide PACU recovery care for patients receiving spinal anesthesia
• Assist with epidural placement and support procedures including ECV, vacuum- or forceps-assisted deliveries, and vaginal deliveries
• Float to Mother/Baby and Postpartum as needed; participate in weekend shifts (4 per 4-week schedule) and be ready for huddle at 6:45

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or C-EFM certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of common obstetrical complications, treatments, and OB medications; experience with strip interpretation and JADA/BAKRI devices

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency with Monica Novii, Ambulatory (Telemetry) Monitors, and GE EFM equipment
• Experience documenting in Meditech and/or Centricity
• Strong teamwork approach to patient care with demonstrated commitment to patient experience standards (AIDET, courtesy, and respect)
