Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed LDR unit, 2 triage bays, 2 ORs, and 2 PACU beds within an acute Labor & Delivery setting
Manage high-risk obstetric patients including those on Magnesium or insulin drips, maintaining a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio as required
Follow patients through the full continuum of care for scheduled C-sections, from pre-op through PACU sign-off
Perform continuous fetal surveillance monitoring using OBIX and document care using Meditech (PCS and ORM) charting systems
Administer medications via Pyxis and manage IV therapy using Solaris IV pumps
Adhere to AWHONN Standards for Professional Registered Nurse Staffing ratios throughout all patient care activities
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
Minimum 2 years of experience in a Labor & Delivery setting
BLS and ACLS certifications issued through the American Heart Association
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification or equivalent
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience caring for high-risk obstetric populations, including patients with diabetes or requiring Magnesium drip management
Familiarity with Meditech, OBIX fetal surveillance systems, Pyxis, and Solaris IV pumps
Experience with external cephalic versions or second-trimester cerclage procedures
