Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Acute)

Contract | Nights | Acute Care | 12-Hour Shifts

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery unit including LDR, Triage, OR, and PACU settings
  • Monitor and manage high-risk obstetric patients, including those on Magnesium or insulin drips, adhering to established staffing ratios
  • Follow patients through the complete care continuum for scheduled C-Sections from pre-op through sign-off
  • Perform fetal surveillance monitoring using electronic fetal monitoring systems in accordance with AWHONN standards
  • Accurately document patient care using facility electronic health record and charting systems
  • Administer medications safely and participate in unit self-scheduling within established guidelines
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse license in the State of California
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Labor & Delivery setting
  • BLS and ACLS certifications issued through the American Heart Association
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification or equivalent
  • Ability to work 3–4 twelve-hour weekend shifts per 28-day schedule
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience caring for high-risk obstetric populations, including patients with diabetes or requiring Magnesium drip management
  • Familiarity with Meditech (PCS/ORM), OBIX fetal surveillance systems, Pyxis medication administration, or Solaris IV pumps
  • Experience with external versions or cerclage procedures in a Labor & Delivery environment
