Provide unit-based leadership working collaboratively with the Nurse Manager, Director, Physicians, and staff to ensure effective unit operations
Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel using professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment
Ensure all patients on the unit receive cost-effective, professional care resulting in positive outcomes and high patient satisfaction
Maintain the highest level of patient safety and assess opportunities to improve the quality of the patient experience
Serve in a Charge Nurse capacity as required; no on-call obligations
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
ACLS (AHA or ARC) certification required
NRP (AHA or ARC) certification required
AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification completed within the last 2 years required
Minimum 5 years of Labor and Delivery clinical experience
Minimum 2 years of supervisory or Charge Nurse experience required
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and related experience required
