Provide high-quality nursing care to laboring patients on a 9-bed L&D unit with 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs, and a 3-bed OBED, maintaining a 1:2 patient ratio
Perform and assist with unit procedures including circulating in the OR, IUPC, FSE, MgSO4 administration, postpartum hemorrhage management using the JADA system, and nitrous oxide administration
Support patient choice and promote vaginal birth opportunities in alignment with individual patient preferences
Document accurately using CPN and Meditech electronic documentation systems
Fulfill scheduling requirements including 4 weekend shifts per month; float to mother/baby or outside department to task as needed
Maintain patient experience standards above the 75th percentile
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
Fetal monitoring certification
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced L&D environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
Spinning Babies training or experience
STABLE program certification or familiarity
Experience with laborist or team-based care models
