Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery
Location
Torrance, CA
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Weekend availability required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Support night shift operations with flexibility to work weekends as required
- Float to Mother Baby unit as needed based on staffing and patient census
- Utilize Epic electronic health record system for accurate and timely documentation
- Participate in precepting activities to support orientation and onboarding of new staff when applicable
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS/BCLS, and NRP
- LA fire card obtained within the last 30 days
- Willingness to float between like units and, if required, to additional facilities within the state
- Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Precepting experience in a Labor and Delivery or related Women's Services setting
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
- Prior experience in an acute care hospital environment
