Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Location

Torrance, CA | Acute Care Hospital

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Full-Time | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Float to Mother Baby unit as needed to support staffing across like units
• May be required to float to a sister facility location nearby the contracted facility
• Utilize Epic for clinical documentation and charting
• Maintain flexibility to work weekends as required based on contract length
• Support precepting of staff when applicable

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses are not accepted
• Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, NRP
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Must be flexible working weekends
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of candidate submission — post-submission RTO may not be considered or granted
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• Candidates within a 50-mile radius of the facility are accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Precepting skills preferred
• Experience working in a high-acuity Labor and Delivery environment
• Prior experience at a Providence-affiliated facility (disclosure required at time of submission)
