Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for Labor & Delivery patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Deliver and oversee the quality of nursing services provided by self and others under their direction
• Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess patient data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients
• Monitor and interpret electronic fetal monitoring data and respond appropriately to changes in maternal and fetal status
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes in a high-volume Labor & Delivery environment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent, high-volume Labor & Delivery experience required
• Active Maryland RN license (verification must be less than 30 days old)
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification
• Active Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification (or willingness to obtain within 48 hours of offer)
• Active NIH Stroke Scale/Score (NIHSS) certification (or willingness to obtain within 48 hours of offer)
• NRP certification required
• COVID vaccination required; declinations are not accepted and must be a state record
• Must be willing to work the facility's schedule without scheduling restrictions
• Previous travel nursing experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-acuity, high-volume Labor & Delivery unit
• Familiarity with compliance documentation processes and rapid onboarding requirements
