Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards.
• Accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction.
• Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
• Provide high-quality care within a high-volume Labor & Delivery setting.
• Monitor and interpret electronic fetal monitoring data in accordance with established clinical protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland (license verification must be less than 30 days old).
• Minimum 2 years of recent high-volume Labor & Delivery experience required.
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification.
• Active Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification (or willingness to obtain within 48 hours of offer).
• Active NIH Stroke Scale/Score (NIHSS) certification (or willingness to obtain within 48 hours of offer).
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• COVID vaccination required; declinations are not accepted and must be on state record.
• Must be willing to work the facility's schedule without scheduling restrictions.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume acute care Labor & Delivery unit.
• Familiarity with electronic fetal monitoring interpretation and documentation.
