RN - Labor & Delivery (Rotating Shifts)
LocationVail, CO
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | Rotating Shifts (Days 07:00–19:00 or Nights 19:00–07:00; traveler may be asked to work either shift)
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care for antepartum patients, laboring patients through childbirth, recovery, and postpartum, including lactation education and assistance
- Deliver family-centered care encompassing the well newborn and Level 2 Nursery patients
- Oversee daily patient flow to optimize patient care, safety, and satisfaction; demonstrate ability to triage incoming patient requests for services
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in procedures while consistently adhering to patient safety guidelines
- Deliver patient education to facilitate plan of care, support informed healthcare choices, and promote optimal wellness
- Collaborate with providers, staff, and other members of the care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes utilizing Relationship-Based Care principles
Required Qualifications- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience in Labor & Delivery, antepartum, postpartum, or newborn nursery care settings
- Demonstrated critical thinking, prioritization, and independent practice skills with minimal supervision
