Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care utilizing the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice
Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient plans of care, including physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs
Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments while accurately documenting care, assessments, interventions, and patient responses
Perform holistic, ongoing patient assessments and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
Educate patients, families, and significant others on relevant health information in a timely manner
Communicate and collaborate with all members of the healthcare team; delegate appropriately to non-licensed assistive personnel and may float in unit rotation including sitter assignments
Required Qualifications
Active Washington State RN licensure or Compact RN licensure
Active BLS, NRP, and FHM certifications required
Must practice consistently within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards of practice
Adherence to applicable hospital policies and unit standards
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
Familiarity with evidence-based obstetric workflows and procedures
