Job Title
Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)
LocationWichita, Kansas
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Labor & Delivery unit, managing labor patients at a 1–2:1 ratio and postpartum couplets at a 3–4:1 ratio
- Perform and assist with procedures including C-sections (circulating), inductions, AROM, IUPC, DFM, and Doppler monitoring
- Utilize fetal monitoring equipment including CPN monitors and Monica Novii telemetry to assess and document maternal and fetal status
- Operate unit equipment such as Welch Allyn vitals machines and POC glucose monitoring devices
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech and CPN electronic medical record systems
- Adhere to established standards of behavior and unit guidelines while collaborating with charge nurses, scrub techs, and desk clerks
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 1 year of current acute care experience as a Labor & Delivery RN
- Active RN licensure (compact or Kansas state license)
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- Current NRP certification
- Current AWHONN or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (IFM) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills- Postpartum nursing experience
- High-risk LDR (Labor, Delivery, and Recovery) experience
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic and dedication to patient care
