Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered nursing care in collaboration with families and the multidisciplinary team
- Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Implement nursing interventions and continuously evaluate patient responses
- Monitor fetal status and maternal well-being using appropriate fetal monitoring techniques
- Respond promptly and effectively to labor, delivery, and acuity changes
- Document care and clinical findings accurately and timely
- Participate in required competency testing and maintain specialty certifications
- Advocate for patients and support family education throughout the perinatal experience
