Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum for a travel nursing job in Nampa, Idaho.

Travel LDRP RN – Night Shift

Unit: Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum
Shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Unit Size: 14 LDRP rooms
Triage Beds: 4
C-Section Suites: 2
Average Birth Volume: Approximately 90 births per month / 1,200 annually
Charting: Epic
Fetal Monitoring: Centricity
Call: None

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced LDRP RN who can provide full-scope obstetric care, including labor, triage, delivery attendance, C-section circulation and recovery, immediate newborn care, postpartum couplet care, and antepartum support.

Patients remain in the same LDRP room throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care.

Required Experience

  • Recent Labor and Delivery experience
  • Mother-Baby/Postpartum experience required
  • Must be able to independently:
    • Manage laboring patients
    • Staff OB triage
    • Attend deliveries
    • Provide the first hour of newborn care
    • Circulate and recover C-sections
    • Provide postpartum couplet care
    • Manage patients receiving magnesium sulfate
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Charge Nurse experience preferred

Required Certifications

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NRP
  • S.T.A.B.L.E.

Patient Ratios

The unit follows AWHONN staffing standards:

  • Active labor: 1:1
  • Cervical ripening: May pair 2 patients
  • Postpartum: 1:3 couplets
  • Triage: 1:3
  • A Resource RN may assist when triage reaches 4 patients

 

Scheduling

  • Travelers initially fill open schedule needs
  • On later schedules, preferences may be submitted but are not guaranteed
  • Block scheduling is not guaranteed
  • Six consecutive shifts are not permitted
  • Weekend shifts are scheduled based on unit needs
  • Holiday coverage may be required if needed during the contract

Floating

Travelers are first to float and may float among St. Luke’s Treasure Valley locations in:

  • Labor and Delivery
  • Postpartum
  • Antepartum
  • Patient sitter assignments

Additional Unit Details

  • NICU capability is embedded within 7 LDRP rooms
  • Travelers frequently extend or return for additional assignments
  • Candidate must be comfortable working across the full LDRP model
