This care is delivered by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills and scientific judgment. Leadership is shown in the anticipation and planning for the safe delivery of care. Maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education is required. Patient care priorities must be delegated commensurate with the education and experience of available staff. The Registered Nurse provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
