This is accomplished by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership. They anticipate and plan for the safe delivery of care. The nurse maintains clinical competencies through continuing education. They delegate patient care priorities according to the education and experience of available staff. The Registered Nurse provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
