Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift
• Minimum 1 year of bedside nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• Experience in long-term acute care, acute care, or similar clinical nursing settings preferred
• Strong communication, documentation, and patient education skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based, patient-centered environment
• Commitment to safety, quality care, and professional accountability

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Complete nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and use findings to support individualized care planning
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to identify teaching needs and goals
• Provide timely updates for team conferences and maintain accurate, thorough clinical documentation
• Support patient rehabilitation efforts and promote education focused on positive outcomes
• Initiate discharge planning from admission and begin patient teaching early in the stay
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the appropriate care team members to ensure continuity and patient safety
• Supervise and support ancillary nursing staff through effective delegation, organization, and prioritization
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors while following facility policies and procedures
• Contribute to a positive unit culture through teamwork, professionalism, and calm leadership
