Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Deliver high-quality bedside nursing care using the nursing process.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge preparation.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
• Communicate patient status and changes with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Supervise and provide direction to LPNs, CNAs, and nursing orientees.
• Participate in weekly interdisciplinary team conferences.
• Initiate discharge planning beginning on admission.
• Promote a safe environment for patients and staff by following hospital safety standards.
• Assist with charge nurse responsibilities after orientation, as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience required.
• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (CIRH assignments only).
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment.
