Position: Registered Nurse – Long-Term Care (RN – LTC)
Location: Hot Springs
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 5×8
Experience Required: 2 Years
Weekly Pay:$2160 to $2360
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
Perform patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
Administer medications, IV therapy, wound care, tube feedings, and other prescribed treatments
Monitor resident conditions and promptly communicate changes to physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
Coordinate admissions, transfers, discharges, and ongoing resident care planning
Educate residents and family members regarding medications, treatments, disease management, and care plans
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Ensure compliance with infection prevention practices, patient safety standards, and facility policies
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary care conferences
Promote resident dignity, independence, and overall quality of life through compassionate, patient-centered care
Requirements
Active South Dakota Registered Nurse (RN) License
Minimum 2 years of recent Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility experience
Current BLS Certification required
Strong knowledge of geriatric nursing, chronic disease management, medication administration, and rehabilitation care
Experience supervising nursing support staff
Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Excellent communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills
Ability to manage multiple residents in a fast-paced long-term care environment
Commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based resident care
