Job Title: Registered Nurse, Long Term Care Profession: Nursing Specialty: Long Term Care (LTC) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Weekend PM Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) Experience: Minimum 0 years of experience; 1+ years of related work experience preferred License: Must hold and maintain a Registered Nursing license Certifications: Current CPR/BLS certification required Must-Have: Two-year degree in nursing required; four-year degree in nursing preferred Description: The Nursing Home Registered Nurse position assists with day-to-day nursing activities. This is an important role that requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional healthcare. Timely communication to physicians, families, etc. of significant changes in resident condition is essential. Complete all applicable resident assessments. Complete medication administration while following the 5 Rights. Perform wound care and assessments as needed. Assist with answering call lights. Monitor residents for changes in condition. Act as leader on the floor by assessing and directing situations as needed. Report any allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation to the Director of Nursing and Administrator. Maintain accurate resident records with thorough and accurate charting. Perform other duties as requested.
