Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 7-week travel contract assignment in Scarborough, Maine. The RN will provide direct patient care, oversee nursing support staff, and ensure quality healthcare delivery within a skilled nursing environment.
This role requires excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to provide compassionate patient-centered care during overnight shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care and patient assessments
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Monitor patient conditions and document changes accurately
Develop and implement individualized care plans
Supervise and support CNA and LPN staff as needed
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols
Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and quality care standards
Requirements
Active RN license required
Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience preferred
Current BLS certification required
Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred
Ability to work overnight 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Must comply with facility health and safety requirements
Valid government-issued photo identification required
COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption may be required
