Job Summary Long Term Care Registered Nurse (LTC RN) Seward, Alaska. This position involves providing patient care in a long-term care facility, focusing on adults and geriatrics with diagnoses such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and physical impairments. The RN will work within a team to deliver quality care according to facility protocols.
Job Details
Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid Alaska State license, at least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse, current BLS certification, ability to obtain Alaska Food Worker Certification during orientation, and LTC experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with charge nursing, trauma level II or higher, community hospital, LTAC experience, and charting in electronic medical record systems such as Epic.
Float: Float within scope to meet facility needs.
Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to work at least two of the three major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's), and requests for time off must be submitted with the application. The assignment starts on 09/08/2026, with a guaranteed minimum of 60 hours every two weeks. The facility is a long-term care setting with 40 beds and specific patient populations including those with dementia and physical impairments. The organization will arrange for vehicle use and accommodation; travelers must provide valid drivers license and proof of insurance prior to operating a vehicle.
