Job Description
Lincoln Hospital is seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor to provide clinical and operational leadership, with a strong focus on Emergency Department operations and Level I Trauma Center oversight.
Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing operations and patient care activities within the Emergency Department and Level I Trauma Center.
- Monitor patient care quality and employee performance in collaboration with Nurse Managers and the Director of Nursing.
- Develop and implement programs to improve patient care, nursing performance, and operational effectiveness.
- Identify performance issues and assist with appropriate corrective actions and employee counseling.
- Develop and maintain systems for medication error tracking, documentation, and follow-up.
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to nursing staff.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of nursing experience, including 5+ years in a supervisory role.
- Strong Emergency Room/ED experience required.
- Experience with Emergency Department management and trauma center oversight.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program; Master's degree preferred/required per posting.
- Current New York RN License with primary source verification through NYSED.
- BLS Certification.
- Strong experience in performance monitoring, patient care planning, employee performance improvement, corrective action, and clinical documentation.
- English proficiency required.
