• Float Requirement: Float within skill set, including to NICU for level II nursery patients as needed
• Charting System: Epic required

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license; pending state license accepted with required timing before start
• Minimum 1 year of Mother/Baby, postpartum, or related bedside nursing experience
• BLS and NRP required
• Epic experience required
• BSN preferred
• Ability to care for postpartum, antepartum, and newborn patients
• Comfort with floating within scope, including level II nursery support
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach

Mother/Baby RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to postpartum, couplet care, and newborn patients
• Support mothers and families with discharge teaching, breastfeeding education, and newborn care guidance
• Monitor maternal and newborn assessments, including fundus, lochia, perineum, and newborn transitions
• Assist with admissions, assessments, medication administration, and routine postpartum care
• Care for patients with common obstetric and postpartum conditions such as C-sections, pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, and other related diagnoses
• Support safe newborn care practices, including car seat trials, thermoregulation, and feeding support
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure excellent outcomes for mothers and babies
• Float within scope of practice, including to NICU-level support areas when needed
