May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency, based on business need
May be required to be on-call during a regularly scheduled shift

Role Overview
Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care
Evaluates health status through ongoing collection and assessment of health data
Performs health teaching and counseling
Provides supportive and restorative therapy and treatment, directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others
Executes delegated medical functions
Refers patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment
Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans
Documents per hospital and regulatory guidelines
Promotes SCL Health's mission, vision, and values, and abides by service behavior standards
Requirements
ASN required (graduation from an accredited nursing program); BSN preferred
Current RN license in state of practice
BLS (AHA) required
ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for the unit
Previous RN experience preferred
