• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule Options: 3x12 or 4x12
• Hours Per Week: 36
• On-Call: 36 hours every 6 weeks
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or 2 weekends per month
• Start Date: 10/19/2026

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for assignment in Tennessee, or compact licensure in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Mother/Baby, Postpartum, Couplet Care, or related women’s health nursing
• Labor & Delivery experience preferred to support floating to L&D
• BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP, and NIHSS required; NIHSS may be obtained after offer
• Cerner experience preferred
• Experience working with patient ratios and fast-paced inpatient maternal/newborn care
• Ability to work nights, rotate weekends, and participate in required call coverage
• Flu vaccine required unless a medical or religious exemption is approved

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for postpartum patients, newborns, and couplet-care assignments
• Support Labor & Delivery as needed, including assisting with newborn admissions
• Monitor maternal and newborn assessments, vital signs, and recovery progress
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to clinical protocols
• Educate patients and families on breastfeeding, newborn care, discharge instructions, and postpartum recovery
• Respond to changes in patient condition and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting in the assigned electronic medical record system
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary support teams to promote excellent patient experiences
