Job Summary Medical Surgical Floor Nurse (MS) The healthcare provider is seeking a skilled medical surgical nurse to support their medical surgical and intensive care units. This role involves floating between the medical surgical and ICU units, primarily providing bedside care for adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Job Details
Certifications: BLS, PALS required
Education Requirements: Active Oregon State license or proof of license application and fingerprinting required
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience in a hospital setting; Epic experience is required for all RN submissions
Location Requirements: Candidates may not reside within 50 miles of any facility within the health system
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse or leadership experience and experience with cardiology-related patient care, telemetry units, or post-op orthopedic, general, and bariatric patients
Responsibilities: Support patient care delivery across MS and ICU units, complete assigned education within one week of assignment, and adhere to the facility's float and compliance policies
Additional Information: Must be able and willing to work holidays including Thanksgiving and one other holiday; limited RTO allowed, and all compliance documents must be submitted before the start date
