Job Summary: Medical Surgical (MS) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available at a healthcare facility in the area. This role involves caring for complex medical-surgical and oncology patients with crossover of both specialties. The position offers daytime shifts with a focus on critical assessment and management of patient care in a 32-bed unit.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Current active compact license, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), at least two years of strong Med/Surg experience, including trauma level II, and recent electronic health record (EHR) experience (EPIC)
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, CBI, stable drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), epidural management, PEGs/NGs, ostomy care, post-operative care for procedures like Whipple, neutropenic precautions, and assessment skills
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours minimum per week, with every other holiday and three weekends out of six weeks
Float: Staff may float within the same campus with skill set; cross-campus float to neighboring campuses possible with a 2-hour notice
Additional Information: Must have current compact license and certifications attached at submission. Facility requires adherence to holiday rotation and may involve precepting students or new hires.
