IMPORTANT!McLaren Northern has incorporated a strict 3 strike attendance policy to advocate for their patient population. Any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or is more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift 3 times will be terminated effective immediately. Situations such as a communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence will be reviewed in favor of the contractor. This policy will begin on 6/1/2024.Level 2 North is a 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit with a diverse patient population consisting of general and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and is the stroke unit for the hospital. Knowledge: Seeks life-long learning through certification, advanced practice, higher education, and literature review. Leadership/Credibility: Demonstrates leadership through sharing of knowledge, being a clinical resource, and professional role model. Communication: Demonstrates effective communication through collegial relationships, SBAR, and interdisciplinary communication. Productivity: Demonstrates enhanced time management skills and ability to assist others in order to contribute to the overall performance of the team. Performs other duties consistent with the purpose of the job as directed by general and unit-specific competency-based objectives.
