Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing or acute care experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification or willingness to obtain as required
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record documentation preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a patient-centered approach

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients in an inpatient setting
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor patient status throughout the shift
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and standards of care
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes
• Document care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Educate patients and families on care plans, recovery goals, and discharge instructions
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns as needed
