Assignment Overview
Join our dynamic team as a MedSurg/Tele RN, focusing on decompression of the Emergency Department and specialty areas within the hospital. This role is ideal for a seasoned RN with a background in medical and telemetry units. The successful candidate will provide care to adult and geriatric patients with a range of diagnoses, including COPD exacerbations and CHF exacerbations.
Local Candidate Policy: Permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
Charting System: Epic
Technology/Equipment: Alaris IV Pump, Omnicell Med dispensing, Phillips Monitors
Floating: Within region and scope of practice
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients
Monitor telemetry, interpret cardiac rhythms
Administer medications including cardiac drips and blood products
Manage chest tubes, drains, and IVs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care
Maintain patient documentation in Epic
Qualifications
Required:
2 years Med/Tele RN experience
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certification
Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, and PIV starts
Preferred:
Previous travel nurse experience
