Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical (MS) registered nurse is needed for a facility in Tallahassee, Florida. The position involves working on a neuro unit with a focus on patient care and collaboration within a diverse med surg division. The role requires floating to various units within the division and adherence to patient safety standards.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Experience: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, FL or Compact nursing license, at least 2 years of clinical experience with a minimum of 1 year neuro-specific experience, prior travel experience including at least one assignment, and RN licensure.
  • Required Qualifications: AHA-BLS, NIHSS, and FL or Compact license; prior travel experience; minimum 2 years of clinical experience; at least 1 year neuro-specific experience; and RN licensure.
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Additional Information: This position involves floating across all units within the med surg division. Phlebotomy is an RN and patient care technician (PCT) responsibility, with PCTs assisting when available. EPIC electronic health record training is required during the second half of the day at orientation, with testing to potentially waive full training requirements. The facility is a Level 2 trauma center, a designated comprehensive stroke center, and a chest pain center, featuring 772 beds and a 33-bed unit with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6.
