Job Summary: The healthcare professional specializing in Medical Surgical nursing at the Clinical Observation Unit will provide care to patients with diverse medical conditions in a fast-paced hospital setting. This role involves working night shifts, with a focus on supporting patient recovery, fostering a collaborative environment, and contributing to the units operational needs during the holiday season.
Job Details:
Schedule: 12-hour Night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, beginning on 10/19/2026 and ending on 03/06/2027
Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing, current nursing license, skills checklist, copy of Nursys/license, and at least 2 years of work history with explanations for all employment gaps over 90 days
Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience, charge nurse responsibility experience, ability to work weekends, willingness to work at least one major holiday (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Years Day)
Additional Information:
Orientation sessions are scheduled for 10/5, 10/19, and 11/2, held every other Monday unless otherwise posted.
Assignments end on Saturday with an average of 2-3 weekends per month depending on unit needs.
Limited requests for time off and requested time off (RTO) must be included in the initial submission packet.
The client maintains flexibility to cancel shifts up to 36 hours prior due to census fluctuations.
The facility is a teaching environment with ongoing interactions with students and new hires, requiring a supportive and collaborative attitude from all team members, including travelers.
