Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor RN Nights Location: The healthcare provider is seeking an experienced registered nurse for a Medical Surgical unit specializing in post-surgical care. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on general post-surgical patients, including trauma, urology, abdominal, amputations, ENT, and bariatrics. The position requires a dedicated professional capable of managing complex cases with proficiency and compassion.

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (0645-1915 & 1845-0715) Minimum 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• End Date: 01/11/2027
• Required Qualifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; 2 years of relevant experience; valid RN license (applicants with non-Oregon licenses are eligible for a 90-day temporary license); must be willing to wait for license submission.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with chest tubes, central lines, heparin drips, NG tubes, JP drains, wound vacs, and dressing changes. Knowledge of titratable drips such as heparin and set rate drugs like amiodarone and cardizem. Basic understanding of strip interpretation and lethal rhythms.
• Responsibilities: Providing bedside patient care, participating in bedside report, conducting hourly rounding, managing post-surgical patients, and ensuring adherence to safety and clinical protocols.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Candidate must participate in orientation, which includes 12 hours of non-billable training during the first week. The unit requires flexibility to float to other med-surg units, ICU, ER, and to serve as a resource as needed.
