Job Details
Position Description: Unit notes indicate a focus on patient monitoring, potassium levels, pacemakers, and basic telemetry. The unit has 39 beds, primarily non-acute cardiac cases. Travel assignments may include floating to other MedSurg units within the scope of practice.
Certifications and Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) required. Minimum of 2 years recent MedSurg experience.
Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Requirements: Willingness to wait for license submission; charting via Meditech; moderate float within scope of practice; scrubs in royal blue.
Responsibility: Delivering patient care related to post-surgical recovery, medication administration, and monitoring vital signs, with emphasis on safety and quality standards.
