Job Requirements

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg, telemetry, or related inpatient nursing experience
• Strong documentation skills and comfort working in a collaborative acute care environment
• Ability to quickly adapt to new clinical settings, patient populations, and care needs

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and state regulations
• Document patient care clearly and accurately in the medical record
• Develop and carry out individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team
• Educate patients and families on care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Participate in quality improvement and unit-based teamwork initiatives
• Use critical thinking to promote patient safety, excellent outcomes, and positive patient experiences
