Job Summary A Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in the medical surgical floor within a healthcare facility. The role involves providing patient care to a diverse population with a focus on medical surgical and telemetry services. This position is scheduled for Day shifts, with an emphasis on supporting staffing during the holiday season and potentially working during major holidays.
Job Details
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, at least 2 years of clinical experience, completion of skills checklist, and submission of a copy of Nursys/license
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner electronic medical record system
Responsibilities: Providing direct patient care, assessing patient needs, administering medications and treatments, collaborating with healthcare team members, and contributing to a supportive environment for students and new hires
Additional Information: Position involves charge responsibilities, with appropriate pay differential and training provided, particularly for first-time travelers. The unit serves a mixed patient population including GI bleeds, COPD, CHF, Diabetes complications, ESRD, dementia, TIA/Stroke, A-Fib, hypertension, sepsis, and vascular issues. Ancillary support includes lab draws, EKGs, CNA services, and equipment supply management. Traveler must work at least one major holiday. Cerner experience preferred. No travel required.
