Job Details

• Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current licensure as a registered nurse, minimum of 1-year recent acute care hospital medical-surgical experience, BLS certification, Kansas state nursing license, and successfully completed healthcare provider onboarding requirements.
• Preferred Qualifications: Chemo certification, ACLS certification, experience with chemotherapy administration, and proficiency with Meditech electronic medical records.
• Patient Care Responsibilities: Standard medical-surgical procedures including chemotherapy administration and assessments every 8 hours, with remote telemonitoring patients receiving vital signs every 4 hours.
• Unit Overview: A 24-bed oncology and general surgery unit with a team of 19 staff members, including 6 new nurses onboarding this month. The unit functions primarily under a majority of patient care by registered nurses, with patient ratios approximately 1:5.
• Additional Information: The unit values teamwork and a positive attitude, with a supportive charge nurse team and a focus on quality, patient-centered care.
