Position Overview

This position involves working in a fast-paced inpatient surgical unit that requires prior surgical experience. The role will involve caring for pediatric surgical patients aged 12 and above, depending on the specific surgical procedures performed.

Shift Details

• Shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating to other units is expected at times
• Cannot guarantee block scheduling, but efforts will be made to group shifts together if possible

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a surgical unit, including general surgery, abdominal surgery, urological surgery, orthopedic surgery, hysterectomy, mastectomy, spine surgery, and bariatric surgery.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Adopt a patient-centered approach to meet the needs of surgical patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Local candidates are not accepted within a 50-mile radius.
• Punting licenses are not accepted.

Time Off (RTO) Policy

Expect to work during the holiday periods as follows:

• If one holiday falls within the assignment, expect to work it.
• If two holidays occur, expect to work one.
• If three holidays occur, expect to work two.

Any requests for time off must be included in submission covers and assignment confirmation documents.
