Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio at time of submission
- BSN required
- Current CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Experience caring for pediatric patients with trachs and vents in the home
- PICU experience required
- At least 1 year of related clinical experience is strongly preferred; 6 months in home health or an acute care setting is required
- Experience with pediatrics and/or developmental delays preferred
- Experience with technology-dependent and medically complex patients preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization
- Proficiency in MS Office or similar software
Pediatric Home Health Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in home settings
- Manage tracheostomy and ventilator-dependent patients safely and confidently
- Support children across a range of ages, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
- Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Communicate clearly with families and care team members to coordinate care
- Document care accurately and maintain organized clinical records
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care that promotes comfort, safety, and stability
- Adapt quickly to the unique needs of medically complex home care patients
