Unit Description

The Medical Unit is a twenty-seven-bed adult inpatient unit. This unit caters to patients from a variety of cultural backgrounds and geographic locations, who present with acute and complex medical issues. Patients typically arrive from the Emergency Department or are transferred from intensive care units.

Patient Care

• Clinician to Patient Ratio: 3-4 during the day shift, 4-5 during the night shift.
• Bed Count: 27
• Charting System: EMR using EPIC

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in a clinical setting required.
• 1+ years of travel experience required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• License/Certificate verification required.

Work Environment

This position requires a rotating day/night schedule, accommodating a 36-hour workweek. Floating to other units may be required, but this occurs infrequently.
