Job Summary: The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Floor for a facility located in Portland, ME. This position involves providing patient-centered care within a busy clinical environment, supporting both medical and surgical patients on a predominantly nights shift schedule. Candidates with recent acute care experience and charting expertise are preferred to meet the demands of this role.
Job Details:
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification, recent acute care experience, charting / electronic medical record experience, minimum 1 year of experience, located within a reasonable distance to the facility
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with a mix of medical and surgical patients, excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team, punctuality, and reliability
Additional Information:
Unit has 46 beds with a patient ratio of 1:8
Equipment includes specialty beds, Philips monitors, overhead lifts, bladder scanners, hover mats, and various specialized beds and mobility aids
EMR system used is Epic
This position is intended to provide coverage for leave, with a start date of 10/05/2026 and end date of 01/04/2027
Dress code is professional scrubs in any color, fragrance-free; unacceptable attire includes artificial nails, hoodies, graphic t-shirts, open-toed shoes, or unprofessional grooming
