Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in various settings, with a focus on both medical-surgical and surgical/oncology units.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in both medical-surgical and surgical/oncology units.
• Manage patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement nursing interventions effectively.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout all interactions and procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document all patient care activities and changes in health status using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Float between various medical floors based on staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in a medical-surgical nursing setting.
• Prior travel nursing experience is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability and willingness to float between different units as needed.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records, specifically Epic.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will be prepared to work in a dynamic environment, adapting to changing patient needs and unit demands. The nurse-to-patient ratios will range from 1:5 to 1:6, ensuring manageable workloads and the ability to provide focused patient care.
